I can deliver the following workshops in 4 hour or 7 hour format, with the longer going into greater detail. Some are good to do with larger groups of leaders, i.e. the Council, Board, leadership training retreats. Others are better with the staff. Contact me for the fees involved as I seek to be responsive to the needs of the church.
“Healthy Leaders Grow Healthy Churches”
This workshop looks at seven steps/stages that are needed to develop strong leaders in the life of the church based on fulfilling God's mission “to make disciples of Jesus Christ”. These steps are:
Good for staff teams working to develop better leadership.
“Introduction to the Five Dysfunctions of a Team”
A great workshop for your core leadership team, especially paid and unpaid staff that work together as a team. Based on the book by Patrick Lencione, we look at each Dysfunction and then have time to discuss where our team is and what we might do to become more functional. Outstanding material to really move a team forward to work much more effectively.
“Seven Practices of Effective Ministry”
Based on the book by Andy Stanley by the same name, this workshop walks through all seven practices with time for discussion and brainstorming of actions to improve each practice. This process really simplifies what we are supposed to be doing as we fulfill the Great Commission and how to make sure we are doing what God calls us to do. Great for larger groups of leaders, on a retreat of day of training as well as church staffs.
“Turn Your Church Around (The Old Fashioned Way)”
A great workshop for leaders who are concerned with the decline or plateau of their church. The Great Commission calls us to “make disciples,” not just take care of the disciple already in the church, but we get caught up in the “maintenance” issues and activities and continue to miss out on reaching the mission field. This workshop uses a variety of resources and plenty of group discussion and work on “action steps,” for the future. Very practical and can help start a “turnaround” of a church willing to reach out and “make disciples.”
